Mossbourne Community Academy is a new City Academy situated in London, the first in the London borough of Hackney. Academies are government funded, independent secondary schools in urban areas. They are run in partnership with business and the voluntary sector. Mossbourne is supported by sponsorship from the Hackney businessman, Sir Clive Bourne.
The Academy incorporates state of the art facilities and specialises in Information and Communication Technology, embracing it as a tool for investigative learning. Headed by Sir Michael Wilshaw, the Academy's experienced teaching staff offers a broad curriculum.
