Kings' School

Kings' School is a comprehensive secondary school offering a traditional curriculum and ethos as a basis for preparing its pupils for the challenges of the modern world by setting high standards in their education, behaviour and personal appearance.

Kings' is the National Centre of Excellence for Virtual Schools and their website is now well established and is the Virtual School which has utilised multiple template designs. This enables the school to project a different outlook for each section of their site, from the informative School CV, to their auto-generated Sports and Business & Enterprise section, to their online magazine section Kings' 2Day.

 Last year they decided to have their Virtual School redesigned. The old Kings' design had many templates which all had a very different look and feel. They felt the need to standardise all school templates but still having an individual identity for each. We did this by creating a header for all templates which was the same throughout the site. Earlier this year we created a falling Kings' logo background on 'Kings' 2Day' which we decided to use on all templates using different colours.

The Kings' homepage was changed to have the same look and feel as their online magazine 'Kings' 2Day'. We used a charcoal grey colour for the background which really makes the new design stand out.

Pe & Sport and Kings' Sports Centre have also been merged together creating one central place for sport within the school and the community.

In addition to standardising all templates KARD ("Kings Achievers" Record of Distinction) will "drive the news" focusing on whole school news and celebrating everything that is special about Kings' School and their pupils.
