Intech is the South of England's hands-on interactive Science Centre for families and schools, situated in Winchester.
Intech's purpose built 3500 square metre, award winning, building houses 100 interactive exhibits, which demonstrate the science and technology of the world around us in an engaging and exciting way. It's 'hands-on', not 'hands-off'!
Intech was the first redesign of a Virtual School to be completely geared towards accessibility and css layout. Intech stressed that web compliancy and accessibility were of top priority and we worked hard to meet all requirements. The site works correctly in text readers and braille readers and also has a text only option which strips out all imagery and leaves the user with all of the content and navigation.
Virtual Schools have had a long and rewarding partnership with Intech, together we have worked hard to keep their design up-to-date and modern. The website was redesigned just over a year ago which involved the re-branding of their Intech logo. We have since redesigned the website to promote their forthcoming planetarium; this will be the UK’s largest digital planetarium and opens in March 2008.
