As part of their week-long visit to Hampshire, specialists from the Ministry of Education in Jordan spent a hands-on day at Kings’ School Winchester, organised by Hampshire-based, education consultancy, SciHi Ltd. The Jordanians spent the day experiencing: interactive science in the classroom, e-learning, working with business and school partners and science and enterprise cross-curricular links.

The visit is part of a project between IBM and the Ministry of Education in Jordan to integrate the content of IBM’s TryScience.org website with Jordan’s new science curriculum for schools.
The Jordanian Team is working to modernize science teaching to make it more attractive and exciting for pupils in Jordanian schools and to integrate IT to stimulate their learning. We hope that this innovative approach will lead to on-going collaboration with Science Specialists and schools between the two countries.

Virtual Schools were also invited to take part in the day and present to the Science Specialists explaining how Virtual Schools provides a very successful e-learning solution for King’s School.
